Growing up, I was inspired by my dad, who played guitar and sang at home and on the radio at a Country an Western Station in Selma Indiana. While I learned to play, I found more excitement in taking guitars apart and improving their playability. After studying under Master Luthier Dale Unger in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, formerly of the Martin Guitar Factory, I began helping others with guitar maintenance and customization. Over the last ten years, I’ve worked on hundreds of guitars and basses-starting as a hobby, flipping guitars, and eventually becoming a full-time technician. Now, alongside my wife Jodi, the business owner, I focus on all aspects of guitar care as the “master knob twiddler, gauge guru, string winder, and fret polisher."
